In terms of financial investment, the stocks of the reported listed wine businesses may be classified in two major groups:
- PRIMARY STOCKS which have an economic size, a float and a trading volume that offer a superior opportunity of investment in the overall cluster of wine stocks.
- SECONDARY STOCKS which have economic and trading characteristics that may represent a superior risk as a financial investment.
Among the wineries reported in the list there are ones that may be classified as MINOR WINE BUSINESSES because the have levels of size, share float, transparency, market trades that do not offer standards for an acceptable investment risk. Consequently, when you make a financial analysis of the reported wineries, we suggest to consider the difference between the MAJOR and the MINOR wine businesses.
In this website there are data, information and news of the listed companies named CONGLOMERATES that have wine businesses whose revenues are minor compared to those produced from other alcoholic beverages (beer and spirits) or in other economic sectors.
At the end of this webpage there is the group of the "delisted wine companies", the wine companies which have closed the stock market listing in the last 15 years because of: acquistions, reduction of the floating shares, bankruptcy, restructuring, lost interest for public stock markets.
